The Richest Zip Codes in Florida
The typical Florida zip code (among those with at least 1,000 residents) has a median household income of $70,009. The ten zip codes below sit far above that line. At the top, households in 33158 bring in a median of $180,357, more than 2.5 times the statewide zip code median.
Rankings use median household income, which is a better measure of what a typical household earns than an average, because a handful of very high earners cannot pull it upward. Zip codes with fewer than 1,000 residents were left out so that tiny or mostly commercial zip codes do not distort the list.

What the List Shows
South Florida dominates. Eight of the ten richest zip codes are in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale-West Palm Beach metro area. The other two, 33629 in Tampa and 33556 in Odessa, are both in the Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater metro.
Two Very Different Kinds of Wealth
The list hides a split that only shows up when you look at age. 33076 in Pompano Beach ranks #2 with a median income of $174,560, and it is a young, family-heavy place: the median age is 38.6 and 31% of residents are under 18. It is also by far the largest zip code on the list, with 44,263 people.
33480 in Palm Beach, at #7, is the opposite. Its median age is 69.4, nearly 62% of residents are 65 or older, and fewer than 5% are children. Palm Beach's income comes largely from retirement wealth rather than paychecks, which is why it ranks lower on median income than its reputation suggests while 43.8% of its households still clear $200,000 a year.
How Concentrated Is the Money?
In the top three zip codes, roughly half of all households earn $200,000 or more: 47.7% in 33158, 47% in Key Biscayne (33149) and 42% in 33076. For comparison, the median Florida zip code has a household income of about $70,000, so a household earning $200,000 there would be well into the top tier.
Just outside the top ten, 32461 in Inlet Beach (Walton County, $146,393) and 32766 in Oviedo (Seminole County, $146,215) show that high-income pockets are not limited to South Florida. Inlet Beach is part of the Crestview-Fort Walton Beach-Destin metro on the Panhandle, and Oviedo sits in the Orlando suburbs.
